Native American Gratitude design on a T-shirt

Native Americans express gratitude on a regular basis. From the stars in the sky to the ground they walk on, from their families to their ancestors, and from their Creator to their fellow people, Native Americans show their thanks for everything in nature. They also express gratitude at a number of festivals, feasts, and important periods of the year, especially during the growing and harvest seasons.

Today, we've gathered to see how life's cycles continue. We have been given the task of living in balance and harmony with one another and with all living creatures. As a consequence, while we greet and thank one other as individuals, we now bring our minds together as one. We are all thankful to the Earth, our Mother, for giving us with everything we need to life. She supports our feet as we go around on her. It gives us great pleasure to know that she continues to watch after us as she has done from the beginning of time. We wish to congratulate and thank our mother. We give thanks to all of the world's waters for quenching our thirst and providing us with strength. Water is the lifeblood of all living things. Its power may be seen in waterfalls and rain, mists and streams, rivers and oceans. As a group, we send greetings and gratitude to the Water Spirit. All of the aquatic species are the center of our interest. They were instructed to clean and purify the water. They also present themselves to us as nourishment. We are grateful that there is still clean water accessible. As a result, we'd want to express our appreciation and welcomes to the Fish. Now we'll take a look at the vast swaths of plant life. Plants spread out as far as the eye can see, performing several wonders. They are home to a wide variety of living organisms.

Now we'll look at all of the therapeutic plants found across the planet. From the beginning, they were advised to get rid of the sickness. They are always available and willing to help us. We are thankful that a small number of people still know how to use these plants for healing. We send congratulations and appreciation to all of the Medicines and Medicine Keepers. We connect our thoughts to extend greetings and gratitude to all of the world's animal life. They can teach us a lot as people. They respect us by giving up their life so that we can feed our people with their bodies. They can be found in close proximity to our homes as well as out in the woods. We are pleased that they are still with us, and we hope that this will be the case for the foreseeable future. Now it's time to focus on the trees. On the world, there are many diverse tree families, each with their own set of instructions and purposes. Others supply us with food, beauty, and other useful items, while others shelter and shade us. For many people all throughout the world, a tree represents peace and strength. We extend our greetings and gratitude to the entire Tree life.

Gratitude is a Native American Way of Life

Gratitude is a way of life for Native Americans. This suggests that people are grateful for all they have, even if it isn't much. Many people misunderstand this notion and believe that native Americans are just concerned with nature or their ancestors, yet thankfulness is ingrained in their culture and has been since before Europeans arrived in America. They are thankful because they understand how quickly things can change; one day you're enjoying your regular life, and the next you're kidnapped by another tribe, robbed of all you've ever known and forced to live in a distant area with no say in the matter.

Gratitude is a Native American Way of Life

Gratitude is a way of life for Native Americans. There are over ten terms meaning appreciation in the Navajo language. "I have been given so much by my people because I am thankful," Coyote, who was once a man and is now a coyote, stated. Gratitude isn't simply a sentiment or an expression; it's a way of life. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more positive things will come your way. Because, no matter how bad things are, expressing thankfulness may always lift spirits and make things better!

Gratitude is a way of life for Native Americans. In fact, they teach this concept in their children from the moment they are born. The Lakota people believe that everyone and everything, including animals and objects, has a spirit. This idea is what motivates people to practice appreciation in their daily lives, because everything has a spirit and so ought to be respected. This similar principle may be seen throughout history in behaviors such as offering gratitude before meals or saying grace after supper, whether at home or in church.
